Puppy Pic!
Okay, looks like Molly had one more in her because after I did my last update on the previous post she popped out #12 at 8:15pm. This one was also born in the bag but HH quickly got it off her. We almost lost this one because Molly wanted to clean herself off instead of the pup but HH kept putting the pup in front of her face and Molly started cleaning the pup's face before it died (this is why I didn't update that last post in case it passed away or she had another).

I took some pictures when there was only 8 pups but I haven't been able to get a clear shot (Molly keeps putting her big head in the way) for all 11. I'm glad this is over with and I know I'm not the only one.

Poor Molly is wore the heck out.

If you're serious about wanting a puppy and close to Northern Arkansas I can save one for you once they're weaned.

I felt so bad for Molly during all of this because she was in labor for about 12 hours before she even started pushing, and that lasted another 7-8 hours.

Unfortunately we're not in a good place to take a pup. Our older boxer just turned 11 and is in a steady decline (loss of bladder control, not sleeping, bad hips, etc). My husband doesn't want to get another dog until she's no longer with us. It would just be too much. (we also hound-sit my BIL's husky when he's on the road)

How's Molly doing today? Think she's going to have enough milk for 12?

Totally understand. I just wanted to make sure just in case.

Molly seems to be doing good, pretty much back to normal aside from the expected eating more. So far it looks like she'll have enough milk. We're keeping an eye out because she only had 10 nipples available. but they seem to be getting enough milk between them all by grabbing what they can when others are sleeping.

I'm going to be hopefully posting more pictures of each pup. If I can grab them without stressing out Molly.

What an adorable little black bundle of puppies. Wow...momma there is a champ!

She really is a champ. So is my niece who pretty much took control after Mom helped with the first pup. She even got up several times in the middle of the night to check on the pups.
