How do you deal with a 100 lb American Bulldog that wants to cuddle? Well, the answer is simple: You let her do it because you have no choice! lol

Several weeks ago (maybe just over a month) mom let S talk her into getting a guard dog because people are still roaming the woods by our house at all hours of the night (we think they also took S' dog Tiger too because he just disappeared off of his lead one night. he was too skiddish to be a guard dog and they took advantage of that). Turns out that this is still not a deterrent because the people are still screwing with us to the point that about a week ago someone not only let Molly out of her kennel, they opened our front door and let her into the house and while several of us were in the living room. O_O The really freaky part was that I was looking right at the door when the knob turned and the door opened and I didn't see a single person. There are things on either side of the door to prevent someone from just standing to the side and opening it, so they couldn't have just turned it and ran from the opposite of where I could see.

Like I said... freaky.

As for my first question about a 100 lb dog on your lap. It's sparked by the fact that we didn't know that Molly was pregnant until about a week ago when her teets and stomach started getting very large, very fast. Now part of our entertainment around the house is watching these pups inside of Molly doing jazzersize. Poor girl is totally uncomfortable and a huge baby herself that just wants to snuggle on everyone's laps and to have her tummy rubbed. We think that Molly will probably have the pups in the next day or so because she's being all restless and grooming her private bits a lot. We've got an area set up for her to give birth but I'm pretty sure that mom's loveseat is going to get the honors if Molly has her way - it's her favorite spot in the house.

I told mom and S that we need to take Molly's temp every day to watch for when she goes into labor and mom laughed and said 'if you think i'm sticking a thermometer up that dog's ass you got another thing coming.' LOL I did mention that Molly is huge right?

I took some pictures of Molly a little bit ago but then my camera died so I need to charge up the battery in order to import the pics. I'll probably do some doggy spam later on.

Do keep a close eye on her, I seem to remember that bull dogs can have delivery complications because of their large heads (an old friend loved the breed). They are really sweet dogs and soon you'll have several lap babies!

Definitely will. I've been reading up on that and it seems as if it's mainly English and French Bulldogs but we won't take a chance.

My dog keeps looking into the top corner of my room and growling. It freaks me out a bit....
