Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Someone on the asteroid had talked, sent a signal out on sub-space, just under a leviathan’s range of hearing. The entirety of the rock’s occupants was composed of geniuses. Geniuses warped and cowed down enough to want to do anything to please their master(s), there would be no way to trace which had sent word.

No one knew that Moya could, or would, starburst so suddenly, at the first sign of the command carrier, leaving two of her guests behind.

The Peacekeepers marched through the narrow corridors, quickly putting a stop to more of NamTar’s research, his staff relieved that his subterfuge and rule over their lives was at an end.

The two left behind were swiftly taken aside and detained until the Captain could arrive and be presented with his missing prize. Separated by soldiers, the human, screaming his companion’s name and demanding to be released until a sharp blow to the back of his head silenced him, disappeared aboard the docked marauder.

Captain Crais stood alone with the creature that had once been a Sebacean such as him, gloved hand caressing her cheek and speaking softly in her ear (making sure not to touch her) before ordering what used to be Officer Aeryn Sun to be escorted back to the small room to the rear of the lab.

He may have lost the leviathan that would ensure his continued rise through the ranks, but now – now he has something that will guarantee it. A creature born to Peacekeeper discipline and capable of commanding the sometimes roving spirit of the living ships under their control and without the need of a control collar.
