If you missed it, I think that NBC has it up on their website or will in the next day or so (I'm not sure which shows they put up there). You really need to check it out even if you don't have the backstories they bring up during the course of the episode. The performances from everyone are just so well worth a bit of minor confusion since they try to fill in non-regular viewers quickly.
