I don't think like other people and I tend to forget that folks can't read my mind - so a little note about me:

When and if I post about the latest thing in my life or WankFest (whatever the wank may be), I tend to usually turn off comments. For a couple reasons: 1. I'm only stating my feelings and opinion and I don't want to discuss them really. I use my journal as a journal and so that means recording dren going on around me. 2. I have no dang clue what to say in response and that's really a disservice to anyone that puts a lot of effort into their comments to my posts.

Unless I link to or mention someone specific, I'm not talking about you or your ideology. I'm just talking about generalities in my life. No offense is intended with my ramblings.

This is something I learned to make at work.

Breakfast casserole

Ingredients:

10 eggs
splash of milk (about 1/8 cup)
2 large potatoes (pealed, sliced) works best if they've been soaked 2+ hrs before use
1 small onion (diced)
1 1/2 - 2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup meat (sausage, bacon, ham, hamburger)
2 cups veggies (sliced black olives, bell pepper, diced tomato, your choice)
Seasoning to taste - salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 375F.
Beat eggs, milk and seasoning together. Chop meat and combine with eggs. Add veggies and half the cheese to this mixture.
Spray bottom and sides of casserole dish with cooking spray. Loosely layer sliced potatoes evenly. Pour egg mixture on top.
Cook for approximately 50 minutes. 5-10 minutes before removing from oven, sprinkle remaining cheese across the top.
Remove from oven and allow to cool, about 10 minutes. Cut and serve.

Note to self: If you're going to have back-to-back Resident Evil like dreams in the arctic and a Russian forest - take Milla Jovovich with you dammit.

That second one in the forest was a doozy and I'm pretty sure I ended up sacrificing myself so the others could get away.

Though the first one reminds me too much of the nightmares I used to have because The Thing (John Carpenter version with Kurt Russell). If the monster in last night's double feature had started doing that deal with the floors like when I was a kid I would have probably woke up about to scream like a little bitch.

Just realized that I haven't had a zombie dream in a while. I sorta missed them. Don't look at me all weird, I usually feel better about stressing things after I have them. lol

Just signed up for keiramarcos' Rough Trade writing boot camp in July. I am going into this trying not to over think things and just write my ass off.

If you'd like to participate, check out the post describing it here. There are two boot camps, the first is for writing SGA and the second is for those that write Harry Potter.

Still trying to get back into writing and artwork more often but for some reason I find myself staring at the computer and wondering how to get the ideas out.

I have two new kittens (they were born on Yoda's 10th birthday) and they're kinda evil in how hard they play. Jolene is the grey girl, and her sister is Solaris. I was supposed to only have Jolene but the boyfriend of the girl I got them from was just going to dump Solaris off somewhere. I couldn't have that.

Taz's health is starting to fail, I don't expect the old man to be with me much longer. It's upsetting but he's near 21 years old and that's pretty damn ancient for even Pomeranians.

My niece Sam (my sister's oldest) is getting married in September and shocked me by actually asking that I'd be at the wedding. There may have been tears after I got the text.

Whenever I check my flist, for some reason the browswer is constantly indictating that the page is loading no matter how long the page is up. It's actually like that on every single page I go to within LJ, and has been for weeks.

Nathan Fillion was a psychopath, stalking Santa, in my dreams last night which decided to throw me a toss of Evil Dead into the mix. That's new. LOL

Rockne O'Bannon gave an update on the Farscape feature.

"“We are, in fact, in the script stage of a Farscape feature,” O’Bannon announced to a packed house that couldn’t be more excited."

My Ex-SiL sprung on me this morning that she has cervical cancer and stomach cancer. I asked her if the kids know but she hasn't told them yet. The woman is a total loon but she's still family and I care about her.

I'm still dealing with the fact that I'm losing my brother before the end of the year so this is a huge shock.

Comments are disabled because the subject matter is something I don't feel like discussing at this time.
